Laura’s interest in supporting children to fulfil their potential initially stemmed from working as a qualified primary school teacher. She worked for several years within mainstream schools, however she found she wanted to assist children with achieving more than just their educational goals and decided to change career. Laura retrained, completed a Masters in Occupational Therapy, and has since worked within the NHS as a paediatric occupational therapist and with adults in the community.
With over 9 years’ experience working in Essex schools, and having a little toddler herself, she is very comfortable working closely with children and their whole support network. Her particular interests are in Developmental Coordination Disorder, Neurological impairments and specialist seating.
Laura is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy and registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
When not at work you will often find Laura outdoors on long country dog walks or playing outside with her toddler (when the British weather allows!).
Laura also loves to travel and enjoys cooking the various cuisines she has had the pleasure in tasting along her travels.
