Elaine is our fantastic OT assistant who brings to the team almost 20 years experience working with Children and families. Elaine has experience working in community clinics, in schools and patient’s homes. Elaine has worked with a wide range of clients including children with ASD, Dyspraxia, Cerebral palsy and Complex Needs. Elaine has an excellent knowledge and skills base regarding specialist seating and how this is used to support the function and participation of children.
Elaine has a special interest in helping children with feeding issues and is trained in the SOS Feeding approach by Kay Toomey. Elaine has also completed the Bobath training for therapy assistants as well as the handwriting Handwriting Without Tears program.
Elaine has three sons, one of which has a medical condition, and feels this helps her to empathise with the children and families she works with in a holistic way.
Elaine works alongside our experienced OT’s and is able to deliver high quality therapy to the children she sees.
